On Wheels is an innovative, new app that redefines accessibility in an urban environment for wheelchair users. Our handy map shows you a wide range of practical information like the location of restaurants, bars, museums, toilets, shops, parking spots and pharmacies. A key element is the personal aspect. Every wheelchair user is unique in what he or she can do and the size of their chair. Based on your personal settings, the width of your wheelchair and the height of the doorstep you can take, this app will show you all the locations you can easily access.

On Wheels is a dynamic non-profit organization that was founded with two big basic principles: creating a more accessible living environment for persons in a wheelchair through the usage of modern technology, like this app. Secondly to awaken young people, politicians, the private sector and the general public to the needs, and general living conditions that define a life on wheels.
This second version of On Wheels offers you a series of improvement and some new features. This is alongside the main functionality that allows you to create a unique personal accessibility profile and a handy map that shows all locations that still need to be measured around your current location. The focus in this project lies on wheelchair users, though it was designed to offer concrete solutions in finding accessible businesses, toilets, parking spots,... for persons with a pram/stroller or persons with a limited mobility as well.
